
Established in 1924, the Wilder Child Guidance Clinic is an outpatient mental health clinic serving children and youth (birth to age 17) with social, emotional and behavioral or family problems. The primary goal of the Child Guidance Clinic is to positively increase the functioning of children across multiple settings in the home, school and community. To address the diverse needs of children and families, the clinic’s interdisciplinary team offers services that include psychological evaluation, comprehensive diagnostic assessment, psychiatric evaluation/medication management, individual, family and group therapies, family support and skills building. The staff in the Child Guidance Clinic are trained in a variety of evidence based practices and best practice models to address the diverse needs of the children and family. Clinic programs reach out to children and their families in multiple settings ranging from schools, homes and communities to provide services where it is most supportive.

The Clinic is also a part of a Ramsey County collaborative that provides Children’s mental health case management services for high-need children or youth who may require a range of mental health services.
