Established in 1924, the Wilder Child Guidance Clinic is an outpatient mental health clinic serving children and youth (birth-age 17) with social, emotional, behavioral or family problems. The primary goal of the Child Guidance Clinic is to increase the positive adjustment of children in their homes, schools and other community settings. Clinic programs reach out to children and their families in their homes and schools to provide services where they are most helpful.
Children seen at the Child Guidance Clinic are often those with the most troubled lives who have not experienced success in other programs. An interdisciplinary team offers services that include psychological evaluation comprehensive assessment, psychiatric evaluation/medication management, individual, family and group therapies, family support and skill building.
