Amy Leite


Research Associate

Amy works on a range of community based research and evaluation projects.  Her research interests include reducing health disparities and improving access to healthcare services. She has experience with a range of evaluation designs and a variety of different data collection techniques, including analysis of primary and secondary quantitative and qualitative data, conducting key informant interviews, and facilitating focus groups with professionals and program participants. Amy holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Minnesota.


Recent projects

  • Conducting evaluation for several of Minnesota’s Statewide Health Improvement Project (SHIP) grantees, including Anoka, Carver-Scott, and St Paul-Ramsey Public Health
  • Conducting a  statewide assessment of the breast health needs in Minnesota  for Susan G. Komen for a Cure™ – Minnesota Affiliate
  • Conducting a regional needs assessment for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare
  • Assessing the needs and barriers to receiving mental health services in the Hmong community
  • Evaluation of a statewide alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) prevention program
  • Coordinating collection and reporting of hospital, law enforcement, health plan, and other service-provider data related to the flow of psychiatric patients in the East Metro
  • Evaluation of supportive housing programs and family-support programs
