Julie Atella
Research Scientist


Julie works on a variety of research and evaluation projects at Wilder. She currently is the project director of a 3-year evaluation of a Twin-Cities-based, gender-specific, juvenile justice program, which is funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). She also provides research and evaluation guidance to a number of government and community-based programs, including those with a focus on school-based mental health, at-risk youth, and prevention work.  

Julie completed her doctoral course work and obtained her master's degree in Criminal Justice from Washington State University. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology/Law & Society from the University of California, Riverside. Julie’s research interests include juvenile justice, human trafficking, and children’s mental health.
