It’s a Market on a Bus

The Twin Cities Mobile Market is a grocery store on wheels that brings affordable, healthy food directly into under-resourced neighborhoods. We believe everyone deserves access to healthy food. However, many of our neighborhoods do not have grocery stores, and many residents struggle to afford fresh food prices.

Affordable. Convenient. Fresh.

Twin Cities Mobile Market offers a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products and staples like rice and dried beans. Thanks to our food supplier partners we will operate year round and offer as much local, in-season produce as possible. We bring healthy food options into neighborhoods in Saint Paul five days a week at 17 locations. We maintain a routine schedule so families can rely on Twin Cities Mobile Market for their weekly food shopping.

More than Fruits and Veggies

We love fresh produce, but our goal is to offer everything needed to create healthy meals for a variety of cultural diets. Examples of what you’ll find on our bus:
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables at grocery story quality—we do not stock “seconds”
  • Lean meats: chicken, fish, beef and pork
  • A full dairy section: milk, cheese and eggs
  • Staples like rice, dried beans, canned goods, flour, sugar and healthy cereal

Recipes and Nutrition Education

Offering healthy food options is just the start. To help communities be healthy we will partner with other groups to offer nutrition education, cooking demonstrations and recipes featuring the items we stock. Knowing the health benefits of fresh foods makes everything taste better.

Get on Board

Like the sound of what we’re doing? Join our mailing list! Twin Cities Mobile Market is a community effort; everything we do is informed by our many partners and residents of the neighborhoods we serve. Our goal is to improve access to healthy foods from the ground up. We need community input to inform what we do and how we do it.
We are always looking for volunteers to help. Email volunteers@wilder.org if you’d like to lend a hand.
