Dayton’s Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary School

Dayton's Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary School is a pre-K-5 school located in the East Side neighborhood of Saint Paul. School administrators, staff and students are held to high standards, with all students expected to meet or exceed the standard for their grade level. Out-of-school learning opportunities provided after school build upon classroom learning for students needing additional academic support.
Through Achievement Plus, Dayton's Bluff students, families and community members have access to a wide array of supports, such as mental health services, and early intervention program for K-3 students, a culturally-specific, school-based mental health program for African-American youth in grades 2-8 who are experiencing difficulty in school, dental care and employment training. The school has a family resource center that serves families and community members who are dealing with a variety of basic needs issues, such as food, clothing, and housing. In addition, the school is physically connected to a City Parks and Recreation Center that provides students and families access to a theater, dance studio, a second gym with bleachers, computer lab, and sports, recreation and education opportunities.
