Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services are intended for children ages 0-17 and offer psychiatric evaluation, medication management and clarification about mental health diagnoses. These services are offered through the Wilder Child Guidance Clinic, an outpatient mental health clinic serving children and youth with social, emotional, behavioral or family problems.


  • Psychiatric evaluation for initial assessment
  • Medication management of prescribed medications
  • Intended for children who may benefit from psychotropic medication
  • Priority is given to individuals with no current psychiatric services in place
  • Interpreters available

How to Access

Parents/guardians may contact Wilder’s Child Guidance Clinic directly, or be referred from another community mental health provider.
Payment options include billing third-party insurance, Medical Assistance (MA), Prepaid Medical Assistance Program (PMAP), and a sliding fee scale for uninsured children living in the east metro. Services are offered at the Wilder Child Guidance Clinic and in some Saint Paul public schools.
