Link-Up Workshops

Link-Up Workshops further skill development, facilitate networking, and support ongoing action for program alumni and community members. Topics are responsive to the changing needs and priorities of community leaders. They also present opportunities for participants to share their learning and contribute to the growth of others, which in turn strengthens their commitment to community action.
Workshop topics have included:
  • Creating social change in community settings
  • Proposal writing for neighborhood projects
  • Exploring jazz music as a metaphor for collaborative leadership

For information about Link-Up Workshops, contact PattiJo Verdeja at 651-280-2457 or nlp@wilder.org

NLP Coaches

The Neighborhood Leadership Program seeks community leaders to serve as coaches for each participant. NLP coaches are learning partners who walk with participants during their six-month journey to listen attentively, act as a sounding board, and share their stories. Coaches attend an initial orientation in the fall, are matched to an NLP participant, and commit to at least five meetings over the course of the program.
