Southeast Asian Services Build Skills at Regional Conference

Southeast Asian Staff at Duluth Mental Health ConferenceThis fall eleven professional staff from Southeast Asian Services participated in the 2014 Minnesota Association of Community Mental Health Programs' Annual Conference in Duluth, Minnesota. This was a rare occasion to have such a large contingent of staff at a regional training conference. With over 70 workshops to choose from and some excellent plenary sessions, staff had many opportunities to learn new skills to better serve the Southeast Asian and other communities.

Workshops ranged from Trauma Care and Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment to Targeted Case Management Reform and Trauma and our Hmong Children. Intermingled throughout the conference, staff had opportunities for networking, stimulating dialogue among colleagues and a resource/vendor fair. Everyone returned safely with more skills and knowledge to serve our communities and a great deal to share with others. Learn more about Wilder's Southeast Asian Services.
