Wilder Recognizes Outstanding Volunteers with Community Service Award

2014 Community Service Award

The Amherst H. Wilder Foundation has named the recipients of the 2014 Sandy Kiernat Community Service Award: Ellen Biales and the Wilder Caregiver Advisory Group. This award recognizes and celebrates outstanding volunteers who exemplify the spirit of Sandy Kiernat, a Wilder Board Member and longtime advocate of community service.

Ellen Biales has volunteered as a coach in the Neighborhood Leadership Program for seven years, providing mentorship and guidance to emerging community leaders. The Wilder Caregiver Advisory Group has helped guide Wilder's caregiving initiatives and played a major role in passing legislation allowing employees to take time off to caregive for family members.

Watch the video to learn more about the impact of these volunteers, and thanks to all volunteers who help make Wilder's mission and work possible.
