Wilder Foundation's leadership programs are now recruiting for the upcoming 2013-2014 year. These programs nurture and build the skills of emerging community leaders and renew the energy and commitment of experienced leaders.
The Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI) is a multicultural leadership program where youth learn skills, engage in community action, and develop as leaders. Participants are between the ages of 14-18, live in Saint Paul or the East Metro area and are reflective of the diversity of the community. Wilder's Neighborhood Leadership Programs (NLPs) work with community leaders to expand their ability to engage in community service and to take action on issues that matter. Suitable for individuals as well as organizations, NLPs are offered in a variety of formats and workshops to develop skills of emerging community leaders. The James P. Shannon Leadership Institute is a structured, challenging and supportive opportunity for personal and professional renewal for experienced leaders of philanthropic, civic and community service organizations. Participants work to clarify the purpose of their work and the values they want that work to exemplify.
