Maggie Skrypek

Maggie works on a range of evaluation studies with a focus on programs related to children, families, and older adults.  She is also involved in projects addressing community engagement and capacity building of nonprofit organizations. 

Before joining Wilder Research in 2007, Maggie led the qualitative component of a 4-county study of racial disparities in Minnesota's child welfare system.  She has also conducted research of case types of youth in out-of-home care, and has done program evaluation and strategic planning for Hennepin County's Volunteer and Community Partnership Program.

Maggie has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Minnesota, a Masters in Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, and a B.A. in Social Work from St. Olaf College. She is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker.

Recent projects

  • Annual evaluation study for the Ramsey County Mothers First Program serving chemically dependent pregnant and parenting women
  • Evaluation of the Minnesota Department of Human Services MFIP Family Connections program, an 8-county 3-year pilot project serving MFIP recipients in need of additional services and support
  • Annual evaluation for the Initiative Foundation's 5 year strategic plan activities
  • Evaluation and strategic planning assistance for Hennepin County Child Protection
  • Analysis of older adults' participation in volunteerism and civic engagement for the Saint Paul Foundation
