There are five primary areas where Achievement Plus curriculum focuses:

• Fully implementing Saint Paul Public Schools’ Project for Academic Excellence standards-based curriculum and assessment
• Implementing instruction and assessment that is consistent from one grade level to the next in reading, writing, and math
• Providing resources and materials to support teachers’ implementation of curriculum and instructional model Professional Development
• Establishing Summer Institutes in literacy and math
• Providing professional development throughout the school year to assist teachers in implementation of the Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops and math program

The curriculum focuses on nine principles of learning.
