Families living at Jackson Street Village have troubled rental histories and significant barriers to permanent housing. Many of the residents have obtained assistance in managing mental illness, chemical dependency, and/or physical health issues that affect their work, relationships, housing stability, and family life. Others are learning skills to support their neighbors in building community.
Wilder Research measures satisfaction and service effectiveness through a resident survey. Although the families living at Jackson Street Village still face many challenges, their ability to maintain stable housing has increased. Two-thirds (16) of the original 24 families had remained in their town homes a full two years later.
