Brian provides research and evaluation for a variety of projects. Prior to joining Wilder Research, he worked as a neighborhood development coordinator in the Wilder Foundation's Frogtown Weed & Seed program through the AmeriCorps/VISTA program.

He holds a B.A.in Business Management and African Studies from Luther College, and completed a "Mini MBA" in Nonprofit Management at the University of Saint Thomas.

  • Called for Life collaborative study to examine the elements of effective vocational programs at three colleges with Lilly Foundation-funded vocational programs
  • Evaluation of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) Centers of Excellence project in health care, manufacturing/engineering and information security
  • Statewide homeless study
  • Evaluation of the Cargill Charter Schools Initiative (LEAD for Charters)
  • Evaluation of the Normandale Community College math and science Educational Training Academy (EdTrAc) project
  • Evaluation of the Minnesota Humanities Commission Core Knowledge Curriculum implementation (Core Knowledge II)
  • Homelessness in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area: assessment of current needs and services, and options for action
