Children’s Domestic Abuse Program

The Children’s Domestic Abuse Program provides counseling to children between the ages of 4 and 12 who have witnessed or experienced abuse. The goal is to improve the child’s social, emotional, and behavioral adjustment.

The program provides children with 12 weeks of group counseling and education.  Youth learn problem-solving skills, practice non-violent alternatives to resolving conflict, and begin working to improve family and other social relationships. While children are participating in the program, their parents also receive counseling and support in separate groups. Individual counseling for children experiencing trauma as a result of domestic violence is also available.
