Edith Gozali-Lee

Edith’s research focuses on education, and she often works closely with teachers and school staff. She first joined Wilder Research in 1995 to work on a major demonstration project to study children's transition from Head Start into elementary school.

Edith has a Ph.D. in human development and family studies from Iowa State University, an M.S. in child development, and a B.A. in psychology.

 

 


Recent projects

  • Evaluation of a Saint Paul Public School counseling program designed to improve the academic achievement, attendance, and behavioral outcomes for students at three elementary schools in St. Paul
  • Evaluation of Project Early K, a preschool program for 4 year-olds from disadvantaged backgrounds to better prepare them for kindergarten
  • Evaluation of the Partnership for Improving Children's Oral Health, a four-year study to improve the oral health of young children and pregnant women in Ramsey County
  • Evaluation of Freedom School and Project SPIRIT, summer and after-school programs serving African American students. The programs are funded by a Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant.
  • Evaluation of Early Reading First which is designed to prepare children to enter kindergarten with the necessary skills for reading success.
  • Evaluation of Paul and Sheila Wellstone elementary school's parent involvement project. The purpose of the project is to support families' transitions into kindergarten and through elementary school.
