We are pleased and excited to announce that Angelique Kedem has accepted the position of director of the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood initiative.
We thank our two interviewing panels of community and stakeholder participants for their assistance, time, and careful attention in selecting Angelique from among more than 70 highly-qualified, diverse candidates.
As we move into this next phase of the project, Angelique looks forward to working closely with the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood Advisory Board, neighborhood residents, and community partners in implementing the strategies developed in the planning year. She will focus on ensuring access to a continuum of support services, promoting community engagement, and overseeing capacity building, program evaluation, and communication.
Angelique brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She has spent the past six years leading the implementation of system-wide reforms in Minnesota's juvenile justice system and jurisdictions across the country. She has managed collaborative programs and led multiple stakeholders in planning, logistics, and implementation of successful and innovative programs that transform and improve the lives of youth. Angelique has a Master of Public Administration from the University of the Western Cape, School of Government, and a bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Cape Town.
Angelique lives in Saint Paul near the Promise Neighborhood. She looks forward to building on the community's strengths and "using my skills to help bring the Promise Neighborhood vision to life." Angelique formally begins her new position October 3, but looks forward to meeting residents of the Promise Neighborhood and other stakeholders at the upcoming community event on September 22.
